Happy Monday!

Happy 4th of July week!

It is going to be a lazy week around our house, or so I've been told. I'm getting an early start to being lazy.

As you see, I'm still enjoying chewing on my fingers. You would think my parents might buy me something to chew on! Oh, that's right, they did. I'd just rather chew on my hands and fingers!

Peanut loves to work her way into my pictures and onto my blog! Here she is checking me out or is she trying to get me to move off the blanket?

Here's a special moment between me and my Mommy. I just love this woman! Can you tell?

My First Fruit

Well, I am now five months old, and Dr. Jamie said that at five months old, I could start having fruit. So, my Mommy and Daddy gave me some apple sauce today. Watch the video and see my reaction.

Hopefully, my reaction will get better!

My Laughing Fit

I've found my new favorite thing--laughing! Here I am with my parents, laughing, and having a great time with my little ball. It is so much fun! Don't forget to scroll down below the video, because you will see some of the cuties pictures ever taken of me! I promise, they are cute!

The Best Kind of "Fit"

Mommy and Daddy finally got the camera back out to take pictures of me. At first, I wasn't too pleased. Can you tell?

But, after a couple of seconds, I began to loosen up!

Then, there was no stopping me!

I sure am happy!

When was the last time you laughed like this? Go ahead! It's good for you!

Evan Having A Great Time with His Parents

It's been an ordinary Sunday around our house--church this morning, going out with my parents for lunch, and then sleeping the afternoon away.

After waking up, I was in a great mood! My Mommy started playing with me and Peanut and I thought it was so funny! Daddy grabbed the camera and began filming. Hope you enjoy it!

Continuing to Grow

It seems that I learn new things every day or do new things. Just in the last few days, I have been learning how to sit up better and get more control of my head. It doesn't "bob" nearly as much as it once did.

Also, you'll notice how I am holding my hands in front of me now. This is new as of today!

It looks like I am trying to do push-ups here. Not quite sure what I am doing, but it is fun!

Every time I look up, Daddy or Mommy has the camera and want another picture of me! Not sure why, well, they tell me because I am so cute.

Here I am with my newest toy, Baby Tad. Baby Tad plays music and the little icons on his chest light up. It also plays six minutes of music for bed time. I love my music and I love my Baby Tad. He really comes in handy during the day when I take my naps. This may be the best investment Mommy ever made--she bought it for $1 at a yard sale!

Mommy says my eyes are nearly as big as Tad's! At least she didn't say I was the same color as him!

Happy Birthday Granddaddy!

It's my Granddaddy's Birthday! YEAH!

Happy Birthday Granddaddy!

Even though I couldn't be with you today, I went ahead and had a party without you! Daddy and I partied so much that I fell asleep!

However, here's your special birthday cake...and if you decide you want to have some fun, you can always party naked like I did!

Happy Birthday!

Love,

Evan

Can You Tell Mommy Isn't Home?

Okay, I am going to test how much you know about me. Look at the two pictures below very carefully. Study them for a few minutes. Can you tell me how you know Mommy isn't here today?

Got it yet? Here's the second picture.

I hope you figured out the test. It's really not that hard to tell that Mommy isn't here!

It's only 9:45 AM and I am already naked! I love Daddy for letting me go around naked!

After all, summer is almost here!

Daddy Daycare Back in Session!

I have bad news today. I have good news today. Mommy had a class to go to for school. That's the bad news--Mommy had to leave me today. The good news is that Daddy Daycare is back in session!

Here I am chilling with Daddy. I think I am pointing toward the TV, where Sesame Street is playing.

Daddy decided to zoom in and get a little closer picture.

Here's a really, really up close picture!

Before Church, Ready to Go

Not only was Sunday special because it was Father's Day, it was also special because I was dedicated. We traveled up to Mommy's hometown and to her home church. We were able to spend the weekend with Nene and Pape, and then my Uncle Troy and Aunt Lora came with their children, Austin, Conner, and Ashley. It was a house full!

Before church, we had to get in a few pictures. Here I am with Daddy. For once, both of us are smiling! We were both so happy for the special day we were having!

Then, Nene took a picture of Mommy, Daddy, and me. I decided to go with the "deer-in-the-headlights" look. I know, not as good as the one with Daddy, but remember, I don't like pictures that much! And I just knew that I would be taking pictures all day!

What Else Can You Say?

Sometimes, words just aren't necessary!

Me and Miss Beth

Back when Mommy was younger, she used to babysit for Miss Beth. After church, Miss Beth just had to come over and hold me.

I don't think Miss Beth even saw this picture being taken. I like having her whisper in my ear! I'm never going to tell what she said to me!

Here is my Mommy, Miss Beth, and me, having a good time after church.

Me, Mommy, and Pastor Tim

After the service, Mommy and I posed with Pastor Tim. Pastor Tim is the nice pastor who dedicated me. Pastor Tim was Mommy's Youth Pastor 5,000 years ago (or so Pastor Tim said in church--and we know pastors don't fib in church). I didn't know Mommy was that old!

Can't Make Up Her Mind

All weekend long, Peanut couldn't make up her mind whether she wanted to be outside or inside. Since people were in both places, she just knew she had to know what was going on in both places! Daddy took this cute picture of Peanut, stuck inside, while everyone else was outside. And yes, Daddy had mercy on her and let her outside (again) as soon as the picture was taken!

A Busy, But Special Weekend

This weekend was very special for us. As you've already seen, I was dedicated at my Mommy's home church in Kentucky! Here are some more pictures from our special weekend.

Here's a picture of me and Nene...after church.

Pape had to get in the next picture--even though I think he likes pictures about as much as me!

Here I am with my Aunt Lora, and cousins Austin and Ashley. It seems like I was always being passed from one person to another! I guess I can't blame them for wanting to hug and kiss all over me--I am adorable after all.

Night Time Routine

I am a child of schedules! (Don't know where that trait came from--must be Mommy.)

Every night, at about 6:00 PM, I have my cereal and then my bottle. After my bottle, I get very, very sleepy. So, Mommy gets my night time books and we lay in the floor to read.

Tonight's book was Winnie the Pooh. I like Winnie the Pooh. I especially like Tigger. He reminds me of me! I like to bounce around on the floor and in my playpen and in my swing and in my carseat.

Goodnight everybody. I'll try to post more tomorrow night, if possible. Unfortunately, they fixed the water line at Daddy's office and he has to go in to work tomorrow! I'm trying to convince him to call in sick! Maybe he will.

Breakfast at the Heartsills

I love my cereal! I really do. I'm still learning how it all works, but I love eating. As a matter of fact, I've now progressed to eating cereal twice a day, and I'm eating two tablespoons at a time. I know it doesn't sound like much, but for my little tummy, that's all I can manage.

Well, if I tell the truth, I'm probably not getting all of the cereal in my tummy, some of it winds up on my face, chin, tummy, hands, and even feet.

The Bestest Day Ever!

Do you know what a water main is? I'd never heard of it until last night! Daddy got a call from work about 6:30 PM last night. The person from work told Daddy that a water main had broken near our building and our building would be closed today!

While I know Daddy had work to do, I'm kind of glad the water main broke! Now, I get to have Mommy and Daddy Day Care for one more day!

Sorry I haven't blogged in several days. But, I've been busy! We had our first ever Yard Sale on Saturday--well, it was my first Yard Sale ever! People came to our house, walked around and touched our stuff, and some people even left with our stuff! I never knew anything like that existed.

I have been learning how to balance myself a little better. I love to roll over and no matter how you lay me down, I like to roll over.

Here I am, a little closer, holding my head up. Not sure what I see, but it looks interesting.

At some point, my head just gets so heavy, so I've found a way to keep it up but not have as much work to do.

I haven't learned to sit up yet, but I'm trying. Here I am on the couch, waiting for my parents to do something fun with me.

Of course, my favorite thing to do is still the same! I love getting naked. And, as hot as it has been lately, naked is about the only way to live!

Mommy Day Care is the BEST!

Today, at Mommy Day Care, Mommy gave me everything I like, all at the same time! She let me go naked, sleep on my stomach, and let me suck on my thumb! It was almost too good to be true!

I really needed a nap. Mommy took me to the craft store to pick up something (the craft store is not nearly as nice as The Home Depot or Lowe's--shhh, don't tell Mommy, I don't think she knows). We also went by Daddy's office, since the craft store was so close. And, to my surprise, Daddy got to go eat lunch with us! I had so much fun seeing Daddy during the middle of the day. After a few minutes, the excitment was just more than I could handle, and I fell asleep. Mommy apologized, but Daddy fully understood.

Mommy Day Care was very good today. Can't wait to see what is in store for tomorrow!

Tuesday Thoughts

Daddy came home from work and Mommy wanted to get some pictures of me smiling and having a good time with Daddy. I was having a great time, until Mommy grabbed the camera! Then, the smiles and the fun was over!

Okay, Mommy, put the camera away. I have decided, and you can tell all of my grandparents, that I am not going to smile for the camera for a while! If they want to see me smile, they are going to have to COME see me! Otherwise, you get what you get!

For several weeks, I have really been chewing on my fingers and thumb. I love doing that! However, during church Sunday, my Daddy was holding me, and I reached over and pulled his hand toward my face. Immediately, I found his fingers! His fingers are so much bigger than mine and they feel so good on my gums!

Here's another shot of me and Daddy. I'm still sucking on his finger! Daddy says that I have an incredible sucking ability! Not sure why he said that, maybe because I'm turning his fingers red from sucking so hard! At least he's still smiling about it! Until my teeth comes in.

My Nighttime Feeding

You are in luck. These are bonus photos from Sunday. My Mommy and Daddy decided it was time for my cereal. I'm still learning how this eating stuff works! I'm not really sure what my parents want me to do, but it has something to do with a chew-chew train coming down the track, or so my Mommy keeps saying.

No one said learning how to eat is pretty! Daddy is working hard to keep the food in my mouth and my tongue is working just as hard to push it out. I think I'm winning in this picture.

Peanut didn't quite know what all the fuss was about. So, she jumped on the couch behind me and decided to watch. I think what she is really trying to do is catch any cereal that drops! Unfortunately for her, she was out of luck tonight, I didn't drop too much and what I did, Mommy quickly cleaned up. Aren't I cute?

A Lazy Sunday Afternoon

Well, Sunday is coming to a close. I went to church this morning and enjoyed most of it (I especially like the music). Unlike most Sundays, I didn't sleep during church. And, I made it to just about the end.

After going to lunch, we came home and I took a GOOD nap! I slept nearly two hours this afternoon. It was raining, I was comfortable in my bed, and it was just a good day to sleep!

When I woke up, Mommy really wanted a picture or two of me. So, Daddy grabbed the camera and both of my parents tried to get me to smile! But, no smiling today! I'm not going to smile for anything! But, hope you will enjoy the picture nonetheless.

Here I am with my newest toy--Curious George! My parents went to several yard sales yesterday (in case you were wondering, I went with them too!). And, Daddy found the Curious George for sale, for $.50. He couldn't pass up the bargain knowing how much I like Curious George these days! During Daddy Day Care, we discovered Curious George and I like how funny he is. (In case you can't tell, I'm the one on the left of the picture.)
