Time with Daddy

Today is my Daddy's day off. So, we've spent the afternoon having fun--except when I was taking my afternoon nap--which was fun for me, but not sure how fun for Daddy.

Daddy snapped a couple of pictures of me as I played. Here I am chewing on my tamborine.

When I started getting sleepy, I had to give Daddy a hint. I grabbed my blanket to let him know what time it was.

I think the ole man has finally caught on! Daddy, I need a nap! That'll give you time to put these pictures online for my grandparents. I know they've been waiting patiently to see me again!

A Temporary Solution

One of my favorite places to play is in the kitchen. My parents don't understand why. And, I can't tell them why yet. I just know how much fun it is. The floor is hardwood and I can slide across it pretty good.

But, it seems when I go into the kitchen, I always find something that gets me in trouble. So, Daddy found a temporary solution--he placed the chair to block my path.

This is really sad, isn't it?

Can anyone loan me a dime? Maybe I can call one of my grandparents to come rescue me from jail. A dime anyone?

Boo! Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween everybody!

Mommy found this really cute outfit for today! Can you see the special drawings on my shirt and pants?

If you look close enough, you'll see little white ghosts--who are all friendly, not scary.

I think I am dressed up like Casper the Friendly Ghost!

If you aren't careful, I'll shake my rattle at you!

Are you afraid yet?

Oh, who am I kidding. I can't scare anyone! Happy Halloween!

Little Boy Blue

We've had some cold days lately. So, Mommy made me dress in a long-sleeved shirt, long pants, socks, and even a jacket! If I didn't look so darn cute, I'd complain about all the clothes!

I'm so adorable that I begged Mommy to pose in the next picture.

I Love the Fall!

I just don't understand why Daddy keeps taking and taking and taking these pictures! All of my grandparents know how cute I am!

Daddy, I do know what we can get my grandparents for Christmas--ink for their printers.

Go ahead. Keep taking pictures. I'm not watching.

What you can't see off to the side is Peanut. She just walked in front of me, trying to get into the picture. But, thankfully, Daddy didn't get her in it.

Well, I saved the best picture for last. Please don't tell Mommy about it, maybe she'll never know that I finally did get that piece of straw in my mouth...and oh was it yummy!
Just call me farmer Evan!

Just Call Me a Country Bumpkin

Today, before Mommy came home, Daddy and I spent a little of quality time outside, enjoying a fall day (if there is such a thing in Alabama).

I don't know what I like better: the hay, pumpkin, mum, or grass!

I think I'll just play with the hay.

I know what I want to do with the straw. I wonder if Daddy will let me put it in my mouth!

Wow! The straw is so tall! I just hope there aren't any animals hiding in the straw!

Stretched Out and Chillin'

This afternoon, after Mommy, Daddy, and I got home, we went for an afternoon walk. Daddy is supposed to be walking as much as he can. It feels like we must have walked 10 miles!

After our walk, me and Daddy crashed on the couch for a little while. Mommy caught us!

You may not be able to see me, I'm in camouflage. But, I'm sitting next to my Daddy.

Just Hanging Out with the Folks

It is a lazy Sunday afternoon at the Heartsill house. We all took naps and then we worked a little around the house.

The doctor has told Daddy that he needs to get out and walk. So, Daddy, Peanut, and I went for an afternoon walk. Since it was a rather cool day, Mommy made me wear my new hooded jacket. Daddy wasn't too sure how I would take to it, but if you look at my picture, I think you'll agree, I pretty much like it! After all, I do look good in it!

After our walk, I decided to play with my fire truck! His name is Chuck, in case you are interested.

The next two pictures show me in my little jumper toy. I think my Mommy calls it Evan Jail! Because it seems that every time I get into trouble, she puts me in it.

For some reason, I've taken to my books today. No one had the time to read to me, so I just started holding my books and looking at the pictures. Are there any grandparents out there who have time to read to a sweet baby?

Daddy's Home!

This has been a LONG week at the Heartsill house. Daddy was in the hospital from Monday afternoon until Thursday morning. It was way, way, way too long!

When Daddy finally did make it home, me and Peanut didn't even try to share our time with him!

Out of this World

My Mommy and Daddy keep telling me that I am out of this world!

Well, it looks like a friend of Daddy's thinks so too.

Can you see my shirt?

A friend of Daddy's went to Roswell, New Mexico, where all the UFO's are kept, or so some people think. Anyway, Daddy's friend brought me an alien T-shirt back.

Our Lil Cowboy

Today was church day, so I like getting extra special dressed up! Today, I wore a new cowboy outfit. I just wish I had a 10 gallon hat. On second thought, maybe all I need is a 1 pint hat, my head isn't THAT big yet.

Oh, did I mention that I also wore my shoes! I'm not a big shoe fan, but Mommy keeps saying that I will need to wear shoes when I start walking.

Mommy and I look like Fall time, don't you think? Eh?

Being so dressed up makes me want to play my music. Does anybody know any good cowboy tunes? I've got my instruments if you want to sing.

An Upside World

Daddy always says that when I came into the world that I turned his and Mommy's world upside down. I think he's trying to get even with me!

Get Used to It...

Hello Everyone! Well, get used to it! From this point forward, there will probably be no still pictures of me! I'm becoming way too mobile to stand still for a picture. Don't let my pretty blue eyes deceive you!

Guess what? I'm doing my best to learn how to stand! Daddy makes the perfect thing to pull up on.

Just look at my face and then look at Daddy's face. Can you tell that he is getting a little frustrated with me?

But, look how happy Mommy and I are? Mommy believes I am totally innocent. I love you Mommy! You are my favorite.

Daddy and I made up quickly. He can't be mad at me for long.

Getting into Trouble

Mommy went to Target this afternoon, leaving me with Daddy. That's always dangerous, because if Daddy turns his head for 2 seconds, I find things to get into.

As you can see, I've crawled into a tight spot, looking for something to play with.

But, with a smile this cute, who in their right mind could get mad at me?

Daddy needed some help outside. So, of course, I volunteered to help! But, I needed to borrow his baseball cap before I could help. Didn't want my head to get sunburned--even though we were only working in the garage!

Fall Has Arrived

Well, Fall is here, whatever that may be. I know that it was colder this morning and I also know that Mommy made me wear long sleeves and long pants today.

Here I am with my blue jeans on and my baseball shirt on. Daddy says that I am going to be a ballplayer one way or the other.

I am getting so good at sitting up by myself.

Look at what good posture I have.

Okay, that's enough pictures for today. Grandparents, that's all you get! I'm tired of being cute right now.

It Just Seems to Find Me

It seems that I don't have to go looking for trouble, it just seems to find me!

Here I am being all innocent and everything and my Mommy's shoes jump out of the floor into my hands.

Honest Daddy, those shoes just walked over here and got on top of me.
