Some Good Friday Photos

Good Friday morning to you! Hope you have a wonderful Easter weekend and celebration of the resurrection!

I wanted to pass along a few pictures on this special day. Enjoy!

Of course, Peanut always seems to find a way to crash onto my blog. She just doesn't understand that this is MY blog, not hers! Here she is pretending to be a cat. Actually, she is sitting there watching my Daddy cook dinner! She's ready, just in case he drops a crumb.

My Mommy and I enjoying each other.

Here's Peanut again, still sitting on the back of the couch. She is cute, isn't she?

I'm enjoying a new toy! I love to watch all the things bounce and move around. One of them even plays music. I love music!

Look at my new talent! I am learning how to reaise my head. Doesn't sound too hard to you? Your head should be as big as mine and weigh as much as it does! I believe my head must weigh at least 5 lbs! Sure feels that way. The world sure looks different from this angle.

Okay, this is embarrassing! My dad has way too much time on his hands, obviously! Just in case you can't tell, yes, that's an empty water bottle that my dad balanced on my head!

My Dad broke my little heart--he had to travel to California for a work trip. I didn't want him to go, neither did my mommy or puppy. The only good part of him going was that my Nene came to stay with us! And did you know, that grandmothers really, really like to hold you? Who knew? She's pretty good at it, I wonder where she got her experience...

Me and Nene...both of us are awake and dressed in the same color...

A quiet moment...being held again...trying to fall asleep.

Might As Well Add More...

Thankfully, the camera is still working. Here's my favorite sleeping position! I love stretching out, catching a few z's...

My mother took this picture, and it may just be her favorite picture of all time! Well, at least of my first 6 weeks here...by the way, today is my birthday (in case you forgot). I am now 6 weeks old!

Same series of pictures...

Can you stand all this cuteness? I think it is going to my head already. Watch out ladies, here I come!

Finally! More Photos!

Sorry folks for not putting any pictures online lately. Unfortunately, we've been having some computer problems around our house! Dad worked and worked on it and even tried to get some "expert help." Finally, he figured it out all on his own! I was so very proud of him.

So, now I can add some pictures for you to enjoy.

Here's my first official "snow storm!" Okay, storm may be an overstatement, but it was my first real snow. Too bad, I slept through most of it anyway! For Alabama, this is a heavy, heavy snow.

Peanut enjoyed walking out in the snow...it was either that or she just wanted to get her picture online!

Here's my idea of enjoying the snow. All warm, cuddled up in my PJs...

If you could see my mouth, you could probably see a smile! I love being warm and snuggly.

This is Going to Her Head

See what I told you...Peanut is trying to take over my blog!

Daddy...this isn't fair! Either set up her own blog...or make her stop putting these things on here. She is just way too cute! Daddy, make her stop!

Peanut loves the sun! She probably should have been born in Florida or lived along the beach somewhere in the country. Her body temp rises to at least 800 degrees while she's in the sun! Also, as you can tell, she's sitting on the arm of the chair...Peanut thinks she is part cat too!

One More Cute Shot

My Grandmother loves to look at my pictures and to print them out. So, warm up the printer, get out the special paper...here's another one. Can you tell I love the color blue?

Friday Morning Pictures

Good morning everyone!

My Daddy is off work today. So, we thought we would add a few more pictures to my blog. Everyone loved my picture of Peanut the other day, so I thought I would add another one. I do have to be careful putting her pictures on here--there's only room on this blog for one really cute one--and that would be me! :)

Here's Peanut on her second favorite blanket. This is her daytime blanket.

It is never too soon to learn to exercise. Here I am learning how to do push ups! Well, at least I've got the down position under control. Does anyone know how to push up?

I haven't shown a picture of my Daddy lately. Normally, he's the one taking the pictures and it's a little difficult to take the picture and be in the picture. Here, my Mommy surprised Daddy by taking the photo. As you can, I really wasn't impressed by the whole experience. But, I am wearing one of my favorite outfits--my blue shirt and stripped pants.

Pictures of My Parent's Favorite Person!

Here I am...ready for bed...can you tell my eyes are glazing over? If you think mine are glazed over, you should see my parents! They keep telling me how tired I have made them. I just don't understand that comment. Do you?

How could a baby with a sweet face like this be a problem?

I know, I know! I'm not supposed to lay on my stomach, but I LOVE it so much! Please don't tell my doctor! She doesn't need to know...

Hello Everyone!

Happy Wednesday!

It has been a beautiful day in my neighborhood today. The sun has been shining most of the day. I enjoy staring out of the window, or is it that I like looking at the blinds? I don't really know yet, I just know I like looking that way.

Here are my latest pictures. Hope you enjoy them!

Evan

My puppy has been wanting to create her own blog, but Mommy and Daddy won't do it for her yet; so, she asked me to put her picture online! She knew you would think she is cute too!

Now, this is a good hair day! Don't you love the curl on top?

Well, here's my first real bath in my tub! The doctor said I had to wait until my belly button nub fell off...glad my parents kept the picture PG....

My Mommy and me celebrating my first bath! Trust me, it was fun and I really, really hope to have another one very soon...

Here's My Birth Announcement

My parents are so cool! They heard about a great way to let everyone know about my birth--sending them a baseball card with my picture on it! I thought I would paste it on here, just in case we missed someone with the card. (Oh by the way, my dad is so jealous! He's actually thinking of buying some cards with his picture on it! But, who would want that? Just kidding dad!)

Here's the front of the card; cheering on my favorite National League Team!

Here's the back of the card, with all of my vital information!

What I Did Instead of Watching American Idol

While my mommy was watching American Idol, Daddy and I were busy taking some more pictures for all of my fans...well, at least my grandparents!

Keep the cards and letters coming. Daddy reads each one from my adoring fan base!

Here I am being coy...and playing hard to get...

When you have a bad hair day, what can you do?

Okay, that song really didn't impress me! She could have done so much better!

My cheeks are starting to fill out, but trust me, not that much. They say the camera adds 3 pounds to you...I believe it!

I feel a laugh coming on...or is that really just gas?

Good Afternoon World!
My parents asked permission to add a few more pictures of me, and of course, I said yes! I love having pictures taken of me and my family! After all, I am really cute, or at least that's what everybody says about me!

A rare treat for my daddy...a quiet moment asleep...

Even my mommy found a moment to rest her eyes...or am I playing oppossum...

Here I am with my mommy...giving her a big yawn...

My new favorite position! My daddy read somewhere that this position helps with hiccups and other "digestion" problems...so far, it really does work and if you could actually see me when he's holding me like this, I really do like it!

Here's my "deer in the headlines look..."

Don't care what you say, this is just cute!

Angels Do Eventually Sleep

If angels could only learn to sleep during the night and not during the day! What a wonderful world it would be!

Bobby Cox, Are You Looking?

Mr. Bobby Cox...I am so ready to sign up for the Braves! I can play any position, but I really like third base! All I ask in return is free season tickets for my parents! Let's talk soon!

One of the things I do best...

Here's a picture of me last night, sleeping away in my little Baby Suite. You can barely see it, but I am wrapped in my favorite blanket--a sport's blanket...

More to come later...

The Big Day

Well, today was to be the big day. The doctor and the ultrasounds kept telling us that February 13 would be the big day for my arrival. My parents had been doing a great job to get everything ready--from my room, to the car seats in the car, even to having diapers and wipes ready ahead of time.

But, little did anyone know that I had other plans. For many weeks I had heard my daddy pray that God would send our little son when the time was right. Well, the right time wasn't February 13. The right day turned out to be Monday, February 4.

Let me tell you about the day--it was very long, but I will try to keep it short, my fingers still get tired from all of this typing stuff. Around 1:00 AM or so, my mommy started feeling "weird", that's how she described it. She was hurting, but not in a true labor kind of way. My mommy and daddy timed the pains and they were not very regular. And, as my mommy moved around the house, the pains got better.

My parents decided that mommy would go on to work, as would daddy. There really wasn't anything to worry about--it didn't appear to be anything serious going on, more than likely it was false labor. Well, by the time my mommy got to school, she knew she had made a mistake about going to work. She quickly began getting everything ready, so she could come on back home. Daddy was going to meet her there and then watch to see what was happening. Well, daddy and mommy never made it back home. Mommy's water broke and the school nurse said that she couldn't drive herself home. So, a teacher volunteered to take mommy to the hospital. Daddy left work, called the doctor's office to let them know what was happening, and mommy was on her way with me to the hospitial.

Mommy and I arrived at the hospital around 9:00 AM. Things began to move pretty quickly. Daddy started making phone calls. Nurses were all around. There were machines, and lights, and new sounds for me. Before long, mommy was getting an IV, medicine, and the doctor even came to check on us. My mommy was a real trooper. She did so good and put up with so much pain. All I kept hearing daddy say was "push." Not sure what that meant, but every time he said those words, I felt mommy in more pain.

Well, the process wasn't quick, but at 3:43 PM, I arrived in the world--my daddy says I was just about perfect from the first moment I arrived. He'll have to show you some pictures and let you decide whether or not I was as perfect as he says.

We are home from the hospital now. More than likely, I'll blog more now and keep you up to date on what's going on. We'll probably also add some new pictures of me to the blog as well, and you can see more of me, at least more than the ultrasound that has been on here for so long.

Thanks for all of your prayers. They really got us through it all!

Love,

Evan
